Black Panther (February 16, 2018)
Directed by Ryan Coogler (Creed), this film follows T’Challa (Chadwick Boseman) who, after the death of his father, the King of Wakanda, returns home to the isolated, technologically advanced African nation to succeed to the throne and take his rightful place as king. Also stars Michael B. Jordan and Lupita Nyong’o.
A Wrinkle in Time (March 9, 2018)
Director Ava DuVernay (Selma) is bringing Madeleine L’Engle’s novel to the big screen. After the disappearance of her scientist father (Chris Pine), Meg (newcomer Storm Reid), her brother, and her friend are sent to space by three beings (Oprah, Reese Witherspoon, Mindy Kaling) in order to find him.
Ready Player One (March 30, 2018)
Steven Spielberg is bringing the Ernest Cline book to the big screen. When the creator of a virtual reality world called the OASIS dies, he releases a video in which he challenges all OASIS users to find his Easter Egg, which will give the finder his fortune. Wade Watts (Tye Sheridan) finds the first clue and starts a race for the Egg.
Avengers: Infinity War (May 4, 2018)
The Avengers and their allies must be willing to sacrifice all in an attempt to defeat the powerful Thanos (Josh Brolin) before his blitz of devastation and ruin puts an end to the universe.
Ocean’s Eight (June 8, 2018)
Is Danny Ocean dead? From the looks of the trailer, he is. But his sister Debbie Ocean (Sandra Bullock) is following in her brother’s footsteps when she gathers a crew (including Cate Blanchett, Sarah Paulson, Rhianna, and Mindy Kaling) to attempt an impossible heist at New York City’s yearly Met Gala.
Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (June 22, 2018)
When the island’s dormant volcano begins roaring to life, Owen and Claire (Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard) mount a campaign to rescue the remaining dinosaurs from this extinction-level event.
Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again! (July 20, 2018)
First Danny Ocean, now Meryl Streep? Looks like the Mamma in this film has passed away (please make this be a red herring). In this sequel, Lily James plays a young Donna (Meryl Streep), telling the story of how Sophie (Amanda Seyfried) came into existence.
